History of the firm

Bernhard (Barend Frederick Jacobus) van Zyl, qualified with a LLB degree from the University of Pretoria at the end of 2011. After his admission as an attorney in 2015, he was appointed as junior associate at the same firm to which he served his articles. In

October 2019, he opened the doors of his own legal practice under the current name BFJ VAN ZYL ATTORNEYS, with expertise in the field of family law, including maintenance and domestic violence matters. Furthermore, the second leg of the firm is based on commercial law, including contracts, evictions and general litigation. The third leg of the firm consist of a strong criminal law foundation, wherein the firm already represented some high profile cases with successes.
